Gaga, insane, totally nuts. I know I've said it before. And I'll say it again: we don't get any grumpy people in our Remy tower in Wijgmaal, but there are one or two who are a little bit crazy. Hard-working, lovely, smart, intelligent fruitcakes.

And because we work so hard and we also like to let our hair down every once in a while, we decided to organise a party in New York. A quick flight for one night of partying: an opportunity to really relax.

You see Seauton, my MICE office, has just launched a new product. We are going to organise two parties per year in unique venues: a winter party and a summer party. Parties for like-minded people in the MICE sector, colleagues, suppliers, customers, supporters.

I have launched this new product of (paying) parties, because there is one thing I enjoy above all about all those famtrips, forums, fairs, meetings and events organised by and for the MICE sector, and that's the party at the end. OK, this may say a lot about me, but if I'm doing business at an event, it usually involves dancing to the beat of Stromae, enjoying a local beer or, if you really want to get a good deal out of me, spending time at the champagne bar.

So, we took the party on its own and have made it into a commercial product, and from now on the whole MICE sector can enjoy the atmosphere along with my team at one of our parties. Our first party, the winter party in New York was already a hit. The rooftop bar on the Knickerbocker in Times Square was the perfect location to launch this new product. We'll keep you updated and will let you know where we will be holding our summer party before the end of April. I hope we'll see you there.

And we have to be honest, and you too as you're reading this blog; our instinct, our DNA and mindset as MICE professionals, is just a bit different to most people's. We are constantly looking for new challenges, fascinating experiences, can't wait to get on the next plane, always in motion.

Because, what was our first thought after an amazing night in New York?

Where is the next party...?

Until next month.

All the best, Jan
