Leuven
Client case
The very first symposium as part of the association's 10-year anniversary.

What? Transplantoux (a portmanteau of the words Transplant + Mont Ventoux) is an independent non-profit organisation, founded by Prof. Dr. Diethard Monbaliu – transplant surgeon at UZ hospital in Leuven.  The aim of the organisation is to bring people with transplants and supporters together to be active and athletic (including mountain biking up the famous Mont Ventoux in France), and to raise awareness about organ donation and to promote scientific research into the effect of an active lifestyle after a transplant. Seauton was asked to organise their very first symposium, as part of the association's 10-year anniversary.

Target group?

(1) General practitioner, Surgeon, Transplant physician, Non-Transplant physician, ...

(2) Dietician, Nurse, Physical Trainer, Physiotherapist, Transplant Coordinator,...

(3) Specialists in Training / Students (medicine, pharmacology, physiotherapy, nurse,...) and Transplant recipients.

How many participants were there? 151 participants (from 15 different countries) and 12 sponsors

What was the result of the collaboration?

  • The client, in this case Professor Monbaliu and the Local Organising Committee, is continuing to focus on their core business: putting together an extremely strong scientific programme. Seauton coordinated, structured and took care of as much as possible.
  • The symposium was fully booked with scientific lectures and interactive workshops; positive reactions were received from the 12 sponsors, the participants and the organising committee.
  • A profit-generating project that laid the foundations for an annual conference, but also forms future collaborations with other international transplant organisations.
  • Seauton facilitated additional expansion and strengthening of the existing community and helped lay the foundations for the association to become more international. In the future, Transplantoux will also join forces with Seauton to further develop the strategy to be followed and to develop new, successful projects.

A great big THANK YOU for your fantastic work!
