Association Manager

As an association manager you will hold an advanced level association and project management position at SEAUTON and report directly to the Business Unit Manager. You will be responsible for different types of associations and projects, both national and international, and mainly in the medical sector.

What we are looking for:

  • An alert and quick-minded person, able to lead an association, by liaising with the board and other stakeholders. Someone who can think in a strategic way (draw up business plans to decide which way the association will grow and implement these plans), with strong communication skills, also able to act as the industry liaison person, responsible for the funding search.
  • As important as the strategical skills are the project management skills: think and do. As senior project manager, you are experienced in managing, planning and implementing (inter)national conferences and events.
  • Experience in the medical sector is useful, but not mandatory.

Summary: business development, entrepreneurship, take initiatives, teamplayer, senior project management, high level of communication, some commercial feeling.

You are expected to:

  • Take the lead in the day-to-day management, by keeping a strategic focus: strategic planning, implementation and follow-up, marketing & sponsorships, budget management, contract management, general office management, database management.
  • Work with the President to review strategy and to oversee the Board Meetings and the Annual General Assembly - Understand member needs and set priorities
  • Promote, together with the Board, the enlargement of the Association
  • Act as the industry liaison person, responsible for the sponsor search and funding collection
  • Give professional advice and take the lead in PCO events and project management.
  • Make sure that all your projects are delivered successfully, meeting the established quality requirements and deadlines.
  • Focus on project continuity and drive our business towards long-term client relationships.

Your Profile:

  • You have at least 4 years of relevant experience in PCO and/or Association Management and hold a Master’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • You have excellent organizational skills, you are able to handle pressure and have a hands-on attitude.
  • You are customer-orientated, open-minded and creative.
  • You are a team player and you are not afraid to take initiative.
  • You are prepared to travel abroad when needed for the project.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, English and French.
  • You have a good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • You hold a driving license
